Hospital Record Management System using VB.NET with Source Code

It’s a big challenge for some hospitals dealing with the records of every patient and how will they be able to manage well the workflow inside the hospital. But with this Hospital Record management system, there will be no more trouble handling records because it’s a software-based system that could easily provide the records of every patient from admitting of patient, discharge, diagnosis and etc. Because the proper filing of patient’s medical records ensures accurate and easy retrieval that lessens the waiting time of the patient at the hospital. This system simplifies all management processes and this solves the problem that the hospital faced in the current manual system. The system has a 3 Modules which are the Administrator, Emergency Room, and Stations. The system also generates reports.

This project was developed using VB.NET and MySQL Database. The source code is free to download. Feel free to modify the system the way you wanted.

How to Run

Requirements

Download and Install Microsoft Visual Studio Software

Download and Install MySQL Server virtual web-server such as XAMPP/WAMP will do.

Download and Install Sap Crystal Reports

Installation/Setup

Download and Extract the source code zip file. (download button is located below)

If you are using XAMPP/WAMP, open your XAMPP/WAMP's Control Panel and start the "MySQL".

Create a new database naming "hospitaldb" in your MySQL Server.

Import/Dump the provided SQL file. The file is known as "hospitaldb.sql" located inside the extracted source code folder.

Locate the solution file in the source code folder. The file is known as "HospitalRecords.sln".

Open the solution file with your MS Visual Studio Software.

Press the "F5" key on your keyboard to run the project.
